This how to video describes the process I used to clean my heat exchanger on my sailboat using Barnacle Buster.
This is one example of how a boat looks half of it had been cleaned and zincs changed. This half took over 5 hours because of the size of the boat and the amount of metal and growth that had occurred on all the metal under the boat.

Had a 35' boat pulled and put in water to service a/c system on a no cool.
A collection of clips showing underwater hull cleaning on ships with anti-fouling coatings, showing the release of layers of biocidal paint into the water
This video address’s the maintenance of a marine air conditioning system. Most AC systems on boats exchange the heat generated during the cooling process with incoming sea water. The problem is that over a long hot summer the lines supplying that cooling water become clogged with mud and bio-matter. Here is the way you clean out the system and keep that cool air coming.

Mull based Inverlussa Marine Services Ltd has recently taken delivery of The Helen Mary - an unrestricted 28 meter, triple screw, shallow draft, multi-role support vessel that has been designed with a focus on the offshore renewable sector. It is suitable for supply, dive support, survey, towing, anchor handling and cargo offering excellent manoeuvrability and low fuel consumption whilst maintaining speed, towing, lifting and carrying capacity.
Underwater Hull Cleaning A major cost of operating a ship is the cost of fuel. Any reduction in fuel consumption will result in a direct and proportional reduction in operating costs. Since up to 70% of a ship's propulsive energy is needed to overcome hydrodynamic resistance (friction), keeping the hull and propeller surfaces smooth will minimize waste and improve the speed and/or distance to be gained from burning a barrel of fuel. Underwater cleaning has other economic advantages besides those associated with propulsion efficiency. Unclogging fouled suction grates improves the flow of water to internal machinery and reduces pump wear. Cleaning the hull regularly prevents biofouling buildup, thereby lengthening the effective life of the anti-foulant coating and sustaining the anti-corr...
New, unique, efficient: The MS LNG Barge In a time when clean energy becomes more and more important and marine regulations become stricter and stricter, harbours and onshore facilities need to find affordable economic solutions to supply ships and facilities with low emission energy. Resulting from this scenario Marine Service has developed the worldwide unique LNG barge – equipped with Marine Service’s LNG Fuel Tank Containers (or Type C tanks), gas handling and service containers – all 40 feet ISO types. This video is an example of how we clean boats underwater. Time is taken to remove plant and animal material that accumulates on the bottom of the boat. We use methods and techniques to clean a boat efficiently and preserve the antifoulant coating to the highest level. Video of flushing a marine fuel tank that has sludge in it. Couldn't remove the tank from the boat, so had to come up with another idea. Didn't want to pay big bucks and be without the boat while I still had work to do on it. A $50 12 volt fuel pump from Advance Auto does the trick. I connected the fuel tank to a small pre-filter that came with the pump (didn't want to buy another 1/4NPT 3/8" fuel nipple), to the pump, then to my water/fuel separator, then back to the fuel fill. By running the pump several hours this should do nicely. I'll then add my 2 stroke oil and pump it some more to thorughly mix it and I'll be ready to fish next week.
bottom paint on the hull indicates it is a type of enamel paint used, and the growth shows in the brush strokes
